 Trussed
ceilings come in a variety of angles, for dramatic interiors. Compare
the two in this home. A shallow cantilevered ceiling
offers a more traditional look, with the adjacent room
showing a marvelous cathedral-style ceiling and additional windows. If you wish, you can have a traditional, flat ceiling instead.
These options give you a host of options in designing the
size and shape of your rooms.
 The
heavy timber ceiling provides the look and feel of traditional log home
living. Viewed from the upstairs loft (right) and from the
main room floor (left), notice how open the room feels. This style brings out the beauty and elegance of homes
designed with spacious high lofts and cathedral ceilings.
The exposed beam ceiling can provide class to a simple hallway (left).
This ceiling style is available on the first floor of any multi-story
home. Alternately, you can cover the exposed beams with a traditional
flat ceiling.
 You
can add a deck (upper left) or porch (lower left)
to your design. Some floor plans include porches and
decks, but you can customize these as you
see fit (right).

You can modify the style of window (left), or railings
(right) to give your new home the look and feel you want.
